One Man without a Cause
A man seems to be a stranger in his own life, but does not resist it. Inspiration is The Stranger by Albert Camus in which the protagonist sees the absurdity of life and draws the right conclusions. Dierickx's style of directing is characterized by powerful and straight-forward narrative lines combined with a layered psychology of the characters. Greco & Scholten originate in their dance language from the non-psychologized human body, which acquires new meaning in an abstract world. This contrapunctual relation is the basis of their film.
